SIGMA composite geomembrane bonds a PE geomembrane core to one or two layers of nonwoven geotextile, combining the impermeability of the membrane with the protection and drainage of the fabric. Common constructions are one-cloth-one-membrane and two-cloth-one-membrane, plus geomembrane with nonwoven geotextile on both sides or multi-layer build-ups. The geotextile shields the membrane from puncture and raises friction, while the geomembrane delivers the anti-seepage barrier — making this geotextile composite geomembrane well suited to reservoirs, dams, canals, landfills, fish ponds and tailings. Exact mass-per-area and membrane thickness are confirmed against the agreed grade per order.
A composite geomembrane is made from a PE / HDPE geomembrane laminated with one or two layers of nonwoven geotextile. Categories include geotextile-and-geomembrane (one-cloth-one-membrane), geomembrane with nonwoven geotextile on both sides (two-cloth-one-membrane), and multi-layer geotextile-and-geomembrane build-ups. The geomembrane provides the impermeable anti-seepage barrier while the bonded geotextile protects it and adds friction.
Pairing the membrane with a nonwoven geotextile solves the two biggest field problems of a bare liner: puncture from the subgrade and sliding on slopes. The geotextile cushions the PE geomembrane against stones and roots and raises the friction coefficient, while the membrane keeps the structure watertight. This GM-GT composite liner is used across water conservancy (reservoir, dam and canal seepage control, vertical core walls, slope protection), environmental works (landfill, sewage and hazardous-waste sites), municipal works, gardens (artificial lakes and pond lining), petrochemical and mining (tailings ponds, heap leach and sedimentation tanks) and agriculture (irrigation and storage ponds).
The composite is built from the same materials we supply individually — a PE/HDPE membrane bonded to nonwoven fabric. Where a project needs only the bare barrier, see our HDPE geomembrane; for the full liner range and surfaces, browse the geomembrane category, or compare related barriers under geomembrane products. We confirm the geotextile mass-per-area and membrane thickness against the agreed grade for each order.
The composite geomembrane is produced by laminating a PE / HDPE geomembrane core to one or two layers of nonwoven geotextile so the two function as a single roll. Construction codes include one-cloth-one-membrane (fabric on one face), two-cloth-one-membrane (fabric on both faces) and multi-layer build-ups. The membrane supplies the impermeable anti-seepage barrier while the bonded geotextile cushions it and adds friction. The geotextile mass per unit area and membrane thickness are selected to match the hydraulic head and subgrade of each project.
Our geotextile composite geomembrane is widely used across water conservancy (reservoir, dam and embankment seepage control, plugging, reinforcement, canal and vertical core-wall lining, slope protection), environmental protection and sanitation (domestic waste landfill, sewage treatment, toxic and hazardous-materials disposal sites, industrial waste), municipal works (metro, underground structures, roof storage tanks and gardens), gardens and landscaping (artificial lakes, golf-course and fish ponds), petrochemical works (refineries, oil and chemical storage, sedimentation tanks) and mining and agriculture (heap leach tanks, tailings ponds, storage yards, irrigation and drinking-water ponds).
No single public statutory ASTM or GRI standard governs the finished cloth-and-membrane laminate as one product; in the Chinese market the GM-GT composite liner is commonly produced to GB/T 17642 or to manufacturer specification, with each constituent layer tested to its own method. We confirm the construction code, geotextile mass per unit area, membrane thickness and roll size against your order and supply a datasheet with each shipment. Tell us the application, hydraulic head and subgrade and we will recommend a construction and grade, then ship from our factory.

Composite Geomembrane — construction and properties. The finished cloth-and-membrane laminate has no single public statutory standard (each layer follows its own method; GB/T 17642 or manufacturer spec applies); values await SIGMA datasheet. Placeholders "On request" are not estimates.

A composite geomembrane is a PE / HDPE geomembrane laminated with one or two layers of nonwoven geotextile. The common forms are one-cloth-one-membrane (geotextile on one side) and two-cloth-one-membrane (geotextile on both sides). The membrane provides the impermeable barrier and the geotextile protects it and adds friction.
The bonded nonwoven geotextile cushions the membrane against puncture from stones, roots and rough subgrades, and raises the interface friction so the liner grips slopes better. This makes the GM-GT composite liner a robust choice for dams, canals, reservoirs, landfills, fish ponds and tailings facilities.
One-cloth-one-membrane has geotextile bonded to a single face of the membrane; two-cloth-one-membrane has geotextile on both faces, protecting the membrane from both the subgrade and the cover material. We supply both, plus multi-layer build-ups — tell us the application and we will recommend a construction.
We build the composite to the construction and grade you need; the geotextile mass per unit area and membrane thickness are confirmed against the agreed datasheet per order. Send us your application, hydraulic head and subgrade and we will recommend a specification.
There is no single public statutory ASTM or GRI standard for the finished cloth-and-membrane laminate as one product. In the Chinese market it is commonly produced to GB/T 17642 or to manufacturer specification, with each constituent layer (membrane and geotextile) tested to its own method. We confirm the construction code and tested values against your order.
Price depends on the construction (one- or two-cloth-one-membrane), the geotextile mass per unit area, the membrane thickness and order quantity. A heavier geotextile or thicker membrane raises the price per square metre. Send us the construction, layer specifications and total area and we will quote a current factory price, with the best rate on container-load orders.
The composite is laminated to order, so lead time depends on the construction, layer specifications, quantity and current production load. It is supplied in rolls and shipped by sea in containers worldwide direct from our factory. Contact us with your destination port and quantity for a delivery schedule.
