Woven vs nonwoven geotextile
A geotextile is a permeable geosynthetic fabric used for separation, filtration, reinforcement and drainage in soil works. Woven geotextile fabric is high in tensile strength and ideal for separation and subgrade stabilization under roads and driveways, while needle-punched nonwoven geotextile is a high-permeability filter cloth that lets water pass while holding back soil — the workhorse behind french drains, edge drains and protective cushioning. We weave and needle-punch both PP and polyester geotextile to suit the job.
